Evolution of a painting

The painting Im doing at the moment has evolved over the week through rainbows, melting paint to what it is now

I like trying different things and techniques as I am still learning about all of this stuff but im getting there

not much more to do on this but may add a bit of newspaper...

 Current Work

Im currently working on a painting, in acrylic, of the sea and cliffs in Cornwall, from a holiday there 6 years or so ago, and im posting the progress here to show how its evolved.

it should be finished today and then will go on sale

its a part of the UK I really love and plan to go there again soon, to get some more photos for inspiration, but also to just relax.

 Current work

Ive been working on a large painting of quiet water, in acrylic. 

Its evolved and isn't quite right, not by a long way, but its slowly getting away from what I don't want towards what I do, with the canvas

Lots of layers in the water, lots of reflections

it is a large canvas and taking time to paint, which is also helpful as its making me stand and focus, which isn't something I find easy.

Maybe painting is the answer to a chaotic life  ?
