Evolution of a painting

The painting Im doing at the moment has evolved over the week through rainbows, melting paint to what it is now

I like trying different things and techniques as I am still learning about all of this stuff but im getting there

This is its evolution

not much more to do on this but may add a bit of newspaper...

 Something Different

Thought I would paint something very different although its also quite similar to what I have painted before

Its called Melting Reality and reflects how ive sometimes seen reality in my head, focused and unfocused, bright and also dripping as if it were wax from a candle

its been a nice year getting my art onto Etsy, starting my website, and getting this blog going

and ive sold 4 paintings - and I am so very grateful for the people who found my art on Etsy and thought that thats what you want on your wall and went through the joy of the Etsy payment system.

I hope that the people who received the paintings like them.

and if they don't, thats a real shame

but then next year even more to paint and hopefully sell

 Weekend Focus

I need to focus on finishing this painting, thats about the largest I produce really.  The Sunflower isn't really how I want it to look, but I like the background.

Just a time to let the colour and shape flow rather than forcing it which is what I think I did to get it to this stage

The painting is now finished so Ive put it onto ETSY and let's see how it goes.  I enjoy painting the sea and especially the western coastline

Im currently working on a painting, in acrylic, of the sea and cliffs in Cornwall, from a holiday there 6 years or so ago, and im posting the progress here to show how its evolved.

it should be finished today and then will go on sale

its a part of the UK I really love and plan to go there again soon, to get some more photos for inspiration, but also to just relax.
